Your Virtual Footprint

A) The over arching theme in this article is how colleges(and even employers) are using this as a measure of whether you are worthy of being associated with their university/institute. This article highlights the pros of why people should do this and the drawbacks that might come with it.

B) Personally, I believe that this trend isn't going to go away anytime soon. The Internet is a beautiful thing. It can connect us and be windows into another persons life. However, it's a well known fact that you can't trust everything and everyone online. Mock accounts are all too common. Names can be associated with photoshopped pictures and other things that they themselves aren't even aware of. It might not be going away but it should be approached with caution.

C) We live in a world of that no matter what you say SOMEONE is going to get offended. You could say the grass is green and the sky is blue or something having to do with common sense. Even if it's common sense someone will deem it wrong. Most people will go through their social media accounts and metaphorically groom them to make themselves look more attractive. There are the people, though that will stand strongly on their opinion on whatever it may be. To be truthful it's good to have personal beliefs, as long as you aren't shoving it down my throat then we're fine. But then again is it really worth ruining a chance at a career.

  1. I love this edit. First off, I find the speech bubble on the left hilarious and it really speaks to me, well done. Second off, the font you used is perfect for the theme of the edit, it feels very tech-y. I wonder what would happen if you faded out the background? Love it! (:
