Mythology

Banshees according to Irish mythology are women sentenced to become one of these beings instead of passing on to the next life because they were deemed sinners
One look into their eyes with tears of blood and one is marked for certain death.

Your Virtual Footprint

A) The over arching theme in this article is how colleges(and even employers) are using this as a measure of whether you are worthy of being associated with their university/institute. This article highlights the pros of why people should do this and the drawbacks that might come with it.

B) Personally, I believe that this trend isn't going to go away anytime soon. The Internet is a beautiful thing. It can connect us and be windows into another persons life. However, it's a well known fact that you can't trust everything and everyone online. Mock accounts are all too common. Names can be associated with photoshopped pictures and other things that they themselves aren't even aware of. It might not be going away but it should be approached with caution.

C) We live in a world of that no matter what you say SOMEONE is going to get offended. You could say the grass is green and the sky is blue or something having to do with common sense. Even if it's common sense someone will deem it wrong. Most people will go through their social media accounts and metaphorically groom them to make themselves look more attractive. There are the people, though that will stand strongly on their opinion on whatever it may be. To be truthful it's good to have personal beliefs, as long as you aren't shoving it down my throat then we're fine. But then again is it really worth ruining a chance at a career.

Persuasion

I find it extremely annoying when people walk slow and even more so when they abruptly stop.
Even when they know they are in a highly crowded area

For the love of all that is holy DON'T be that guy that just STOPS or goes stupidly SLOW

Mutant

 1. The mutation is called the Walking Skeleton. However a colorful personality(or maybe just a personality of a sarcastic nature) made my skeleton a little more purple and more detailed.

2. Obviously, there are physical changes like the fact my eyes are now purple with a blue pupil. My veins are more definite and artistic, they aren't just straight lines. The dark circles around my eyes turned darker and had white border to highlight them. I'm still a skeleton now so I have to have a mouth of one.

3. You can't really tell but my organs just aren't there anymore. My body has the appearance of one but one that looks like it's just painted over skin. I have skin but no organs.

4. I seem to have even less self-esteem as well as my depression worsening. I can fake a smile but only for so long. I, however, still don't like to sit and have to listen to my own thoughts.

5. Unusual skills? If you consider walking in and out of places without being notice, the of course. I'm also able to walk in and out of others thought without a trace. I try to distract myself from my own.

6. You could say I've become darker, more depressing. My urge to even be bother to talk has decreased immensely. I use to joke that I'm an antisocial insomniac vampire. Now I really am an antisocial insomniac skeleton.

7. I'm no longer hungry. Usually, I found food to be one of the best parts of living. Now.. I guess it's not enticing enough to even be bothered to consume nutrition. I still love the smells though, every now and again I can force myself to eat but even then it just goes right through me.

8. I've noticed that I'm more withdrawn. I want to socialize, but I just can't be bothered to meet new people. I have the few who make me happy and forget about my pain. These are the people who still love me despite the mutation, thankfully I still have them. Outside of them, I'm withdrawn, quiet, and antisocial

9. This mutation surprisingly only upped my want to learn. If I don't have something to drown out my thoughts then I need to distract myself. Thought on something other then introspection whether it be math or language, it doesn't matter. I need something to distract me from my over thought of reality

10. Maybe it has changed my plans, I want to be an english second language teacher. The need to study something to take away my thoughts fuels the drive to listen to and learn a second language. However, I'm starting to have bad self esteem issues(as stated earlier). This lowers the urgency of this dream/plan. It's a shame really...

Logo Response

This logo is two B's in reflection to indicate the two B's within the group's name. Logos in the industry change all the time but this one has been standing for a pretty long time. I personally like it better than the previous ones. Maybe the reason this one has stood so long is because the particular album in which this was first seen brought in a lot of new fans.
FireFox is a Internet browsing platform and the logo is pretty self-explanatory it's a fox with a tail that becomes fire and the creature hugs the earth. I guess you could say the design is very literal. Even with the details of the Earth(or it's renditioning at the very least), the fox brings it all together. It's not t all distratcting. This is a really cool design for a platform almost no one uses anymore..
Apple, the logo we see on almost everything nowadays. This logo has gone from a rainbow to white and or light gray. If I were to say this logo is one of the most well known, that'd be an understatement. It's simplicity, I think, is what makes it so memorable. There isn't much you can argue with when a company is that big and makes that much money.
This logo isn't very well known, but to me this is very familiar. This is the logo(minus the site's name) for a free streaming service called DramaFever. This website is for free streaming of foreign dramas and variety shows. This logo to me is really cool looking and the more you look at it the more you can see the "F" in DramaFever. I'm unsure if this is what they were going for but if it was their
goal to combine the D and the F then it could have been done in a better way. Cool logo, awesome service, but the design could be seen in different ways
full logo/name for DramaFever
Last logo is DELTA. If you've ever traveled in on an airplane or even remotely passed through Atlanta you know this company. This is the most recent logo even though over the years it's been pretty much the same logo but with a variation of some kind. It's also very memorable across the globe. Maybe it's because you literally can't go through any airport anymore without seeing at least 10 delta flights before you get to your own. Maybe however this is because the logo has pretty much remained consistent with minor changes here and there. The red triangle on the left is(I believe) meant to look like a plane. That's what they were probably getting at I guess.

Butterfly with negative space

Variation 3
NOTE!!-
You see the word "kiwi" in the light bulb, that's my childhood nickname and my family still uses variations of the nickname to this day

Are Cell Phone Real Life?

After watching the video "Are Cell Phones Replacing Reality?", I will admit I never really thought about it that way
Cell phones are essentially portable phones, everything else like SMS, games, pictures, and all the other features are added bonuses. The guy in the video raises a good question; when was the last time you made a phone call? Personally, I make phone calls to my parents and really close friends. Other than that I will text and IM friends. Especially friends that aren't in same timezone, this is the easier way to have a conversation with people. There's no difference between the conversation except for the type of conversation and the time it's been spread over. A thirty minute phone call can be spread out over a day of on and off IM/SMS.
I believe personally that the virtual world is an extension of the real world. It is possible for someone to be completely consumed by one and neglect/forget about the other. My dad always jokes that I text my friends instead of calling. SMS is easier to do in public but I can still hold a conversation. However, it does make me irritated when I'm trying to talk to someone or I'm sitting down to have a meal with them yet they refuse to make eye contact because their sending a message on their phone seems to be more important than our presence.
In short, I think phones are great as a medium to stay connected but as a species we could do much better at controlling when we uses these devices.
The world will still turn whether you answer that text or not.

Elements and Principle layout reviews

Layout 2
The element and principle demonstrated is line and perspective. The picture is used in the context to inform you about a tractor ride. I feel that they accomplished what I hope they were going for. This picture looks like what I/you would see if I/you decided to stick your head outside of a tractor and looked back. It's an appealing picture to me.

Layout 3-
Based on my knowledge the layout is using shape and unity. There are different shapes brought together on one mutual background color. However, it was hard for me to focus. At the top of the text that is what I assume the article is it says "Near Field Communications(NFC)" I couldn't read anything after. My attention span couldn't read anything else. I constantly found my eyes jumping and being fixated on the giant word "infancy". It grabbed my attention but not in the way I think was intended

Layout 4-
The picture from my understanding is to highlight small southern towns that no one might know about. I get it I grew up in Bonaire, Georgia for a while. Small towns are great and the picture used is to represent it. It's a nicer picture than just a farm in the middle of no where. They are using point and variety. They took a picture with many people in the picture/in the picture's background. Small towns are like families and they, I believe, have represented it very well.

Layout 7-
I think this is a shape(maybe value) and unity layout. This picture was more busy than number 3. There is text but it's so small the pictures over power it. They also don't make any sense in what they are trying to accomplish. The little pictures were blocky and cute. The graphs were on the right side made no sense because of the super tiny text. It's fun to look at but in the end I don't know exactly what I am looking at
